John Finnin & Margaret Fitzpatrick

I'm looking for info on John Finnin and Margaret Fitzpatrick.  They married in Cavan in 1841.  Sometime after they moved to Edinburgh, Scotland and had 3 sons, Edward James, William and John all born in Edinburgh late 1840's.  I'm interested in anyone who may have John &/or Margaret in their trees.  Does anyone have info on the parents of John and Margaret? 
In addition, John and Margaret had two daughters Grace and Margaret born early 1850's but unable to find any birth records.  According to Scottish census records Grace and Margaret were born in Ireland.  Also the Finnins changed their name to Finnie sometime during 1861-1881.

If anyone can shed any light on the Finnins in Cavan, please get in touch.  Cheers, David.

Cheers for that.  Should've added the parents' names to make it clear that I'm looking for extra info such as place of birth, year of birth.  It's getting late, I think I'm having a senior moment!  David

The details you are looking for are before the start of civil registration so the next step would be to see what church records (if any) survive. To do so you need to know the family's religion and where they lived (parish if not actual townland).
