Rowe - Enniskillen

In 1848 Thomas Mann from Norwich married Jane Rowe from Enniskillen. Thomas was in the British Army and later served in the Crimea where he was generously decorated.  I am interested in learning about Jane and her family at that time and should be very grateful for any relevant information that somebody may have.  Thank you very much.

Hi,
   Emerald ancestors gives tne marriage as 21 Sept 1848 in Enniskillen Church of Ireland.
Using the Family Search IGI Record Search Pilot the marriage is recorded as 1848 Vol 5 Page 760.
This should allow you to order a copy of the marriage certificate which will give details of Jane Rowe's father.

Rowe is a fairly common surname in Co. Fermanagh and many of them are Methodists (and of English descent). The marriage certificate should list Jane Rowe's residence at the time of the marriage as well as her father's name and occupation.

The marriage of Jane Rowe and Thomas Mann appears as an extracted record in IGI (www.familysearch.org)- only other details there are 21 Sept.1848 Ireland.

Thank you for the two replies above. It certainly gives me the next step in finding out about Jane although I shall be rather disappointed if I find that she had English origins! How boring would that be!

While some of the Rowes may be of English descent they've been in Fermanagh for generations.
