Many thanks skewy
Ashover mentioned in Census as birthplace, keeping my fingers crossed that this family had got something right at last, not to be, will keep on searching.
Thanks for taking the time to look.

Well looking at the records for Ashover Pam, the nearest name to Lenton is a Lant. Not a lot of help I know.

Many thanks for that Skewy
The Weldons and Lentons have been a nightmare because of the different spellings of their name, and you have uncovered yet another WHeldon.
Sorry for the wildgoose chase at the start, must have been a senior moment.
Appreciate your hepl Regards Pam

Overton reminds me of my school camp, before the kids went abroad, we went to Overton. It has a hall a couple of farms and a scattering of houses. It was a lead mining area as well.
Skewy.

I think it is part of the parish, as we walked to Ashover church for the service. It is about a mile away on a footpath across a small valley. i'm sure the footpath was called a "Coffin way".
