Graveyards in Inverurie

Can anyone tell me how to find the names of all the graveyards in Inverurie and how to find out information. I am looking for a harry turner last known to be in living in inverurie in 1922. Thanks

Hi Katie.  There appears to be two graveyards in Inverurie ; Inverurie Cemetery also known as the Bass Cemetery and Inverurie St.Mary. The Burial records are held by the Registrar, Gordon House, Blackhall Road, Inverurie AB51 3WA.  Tel: 01467 628011

Isles, Thanks very much for that information. I will check it out. Its a long shot though. I am looking for a Harry Battye Fisher Turner and his last known wherebouts were in Inverurie.

Hi Katie,

There is also this site  http://www.abdnet.co.uk/burialgrounds/  very useful for burial sites in the North East of Scotland.

Select a burial site from the drop down menu on the right...choosing Inverurie will indicate the general area to search. The main cemeteries in Inverurie don't have published MI's but some of the surrounding ones have.
