Aha.............so, if I'm getting this right
When I see posts with 'site' in blue, they've hit the hash button, put in the link (code) then hit hash again and it comes up as the blue SITE..............!!!
Is that right??
No, completely the wrong way round !
Putting (code) around certain texts (/code) prevents the BBS software from interpreting the code.
It's really only of much use in forums where they discuss code, which would otherwise would never be seen properly, because it would always be decoded by the BBS software.

If you don't use the code button, then typing the text within the code box .....
Hello
Hello
Hello
[s]Hello[/s]
[glow=red,2,300]Hello[/glow]
[move]Hello[/move]
would only appear as.....
Hello
Hello
Hello
Hello
Which would not be of much use if I was trying to discuss the code itself, because it otherwise disappears.
Any clearer now ?

Yes, BBS = Bulletin Board System = Forum
Not wishing to sound patronising, but if you don't understand what the # button is for, you probably won't ever need it.

(I still don't understand ... but as the man says, if we don't understand, we don't need it !)
What's the typewriter symbol for ... and whats an FTP link ??
Don't bother ... I don't really need to know !
Modified ... (The above was a test to see if COMPLETED means the same as LOCKED ... it doesn't !)
