Buckenham Family

Still looking for infomation on the Buckenham family,I am stuck on William Buckenham b,c1787 he married Elizabeth Whiteman.
I have their children or at least some of them all seem to have been born in Southery.I have tried the parish records in Norwich but can not get any further back.
Suggestions please.

Susan P,  i have just spent yesterday helping someone on the suffolk board with  a Buckenham family!

just looked on the Norfolk transcriptions page:

www.doun.org/transcriptions

there is a:
William Bulley b.1787 to Edward and Elizabeth (Buckenham)  in Smallburgh (Tunstead & Happing)

could this be your William taking his mothers name?

OR there is a :

William Buckenham 1774  parents William & Elizabeth  in northwold (Thetford)  in the BT's.

There`s two I never found thank you,William and Elizabeth look a possible but so does Edward and Elizabeth.
There are so many Buckenhams in Norfolk/Suffolk and so few records,keeps you intrested though hoping to turn some thing up.

Hi Susan,

I'm the Buckenham seeker Diddymiller spoke to on her Fife Board.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything that appears to add to what you know already.

Most of my information revolves around a little earlier. I'm lucky my pedigree is published in "Our Company Before", so my research has concentrated on the early stuff.

If you don't have access to Out Company before or to Henry Maudsley's book on the Buckenham and Bokenhams, I'm happy to look anything up you might want.

When I get a chance tomorrow I'll have a quick look in the Maudsley book, and maybe something more directly bearing on your search will turn up.

Hi Susan,

I'm pretty new to this board, but have found you via other research you've done into the Carson family.  I know this message wasn't specifically about that, but as it's your latest post I knew I'd catch you here!  Shocked)  I'll have a go at posting the specific query under "Frances Clementina Carson" on the general England board, but if I get stuck I may come back here!!
