This is sooo much of a long shot, but here goes.
Does anyone have  knowledge or memories of a Mrs. Oppenheim who lived at a house called, 'Hillside'?  This is going back to the 1930's & 1940's.  Mrs. Oppenheim fostered my father (& probably several other children) during this period.  There are also ties with the Piner family who I believe lived next door,

That's very kind of you Chris but I've been in touch with the local authority about foster parents etc & it seems that records don't survive so I'm down to local people perhaps having a recollection of this period.
