Could anyone suggest where I may be able to obtain information on my husbands grandfather?
He was John Montague Newnham (1869-1945) a solicitor in Croydon and at one point also the Town Clerk.
I feel there must be newspaper archives or local archives with information or even a photograph!
Trouble is I don't live locally and I'm not sure where to start.
Any information or advice would be very welcome
