1851 Census Lookup Please (Completed)
« on: Thursday 07 May 09 20:24 UTC (UK) »

Hi,

Can any one help me find Elizabeth Tippins on the 1851 census for Staunton-upon-Arrow.

She was born around 1779, outside of Herefordshire.
Her husband had died in 1849, so she will be a widow. She may be living with either her son George Tippins, or her daughter Ann, who may have married before 1851.

Thanks in advance,
Tippin

Hi Tippin,

do you have the family in 1841?
What is the husband's name and when was George born?
As you can tell, I am having difficulty finding her and can't see her in 1841 either  Undecided

Her age is out a bit on the 1841. The entry is;

Quarry Field, Stanton
Thomas Tippins - 50 - Labourer - HEF
Elizabeth Tippins - 55 - Not HEF
Richard Tippins - 18 - HEF
Anne Tippins - 15 - HEF

George was born in 1819, at Monkland.

Thomas died in 1849, and Richard in 1850.

Thanks for finding George for me.

I have believed that the 1843 death was Elizabeth, but I have now found her burial, which happened in 1856.

I can see a death in June quarter 1855 - Weobley registration district which would cover the place where George was living in 1851 I think.
That would be much too early though for 1856 burial.

Fantastic, that looks like her.

Could I ask just one more favour, who is the 'wife' in the Rowlings family. It could be her daughter.

Thanks very much for finding her,
