Hi Anne,

Hope you don't mind I split your post to get more people to see it.

http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=172500.589423302&Y=620000.781714535&width=500&height=300&gride=172133.589423302&gridn=620136.781714535&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=freegaz&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=0&scale=50000&in.x=5&in.y=9

The map above (what a daft long link! it's http://www.multimap.co.uk then search for Campbeltown) shows a big cemetery at Kilkerran on the edge of Campbeltown and a burial ground to the east near Tomaig.

Can anyone who knows the area confirm the Kilkerran cemetery is the main burial ground for Campbeltown and what time span?

All the best,
Pam

There are several cemeteries listed in Campbeltown with Kilkerran being the oldest

http://website.lineone.net/~john.mcsporran/kilkerran.html

gives much more information about it.

Kilchousland and Clachan are the other two ... but Kilkerran appears to be the principal area.

Its been a while since I've been in the area though.
