Enniscorthy - Shannon ?
« on: Tuesday 05 May 09 09:40 UTC (UK) »

I have just received a marriage certificate for James BERRY & Ann KELLY who married in 1875 at the Chapel of Oylegate, Enniscorthy.

Both of their place of residence are given as Shannon.... could this be the shortened Templeshannon?

In Enniscorthy there is;
Templeshannon Rural
The Shannon
Templeshannon
Shannon Hill
I checked there for 1901/1911 but found no Berry name.

Seanmac, eeny, meeny, miny, mo..... Undecided  Grin

   Thank you for the 1901 census......looks like the Thomas you found  could well be James's father, name and occupation the same as on the marriage cert.
