On John Thompson's Atlas of Scotland, 1832 which you can view online, it looks like Tomnaripach, east of Loch Inch and south of Inverfeshie House.

I have a copy of that page of the parish ledger; the place does look like Tomerrappach but the birth date is 26 Feb 1794. Baptised 25 Mar 1794.

If you are connected to George Brander who was innkeeper at Carr Bridge I have some information.

Hi Laura,
Not sure if that is who I'm looking for, my point of reference starts here in Alvie,

OPR 1840 George McIntosh and Jessie Brander of the Urquhart Parish had banns proclaimed and then were married at Finfan on January 1st 1840.

Any information would be welcome.

Hi anna;
Sounds like the Brander part of your family came from Urquhart so there is not much likelihood they'd be connected to folks in Carr Bridge, near Duthil.
