Grange Road Deal

Would anyone have local knowledge or data relating to Grange Road in Deal. I have a family member that lived in Grange Road around 1914-1926 and all documentation that I have gives the house name as Tralee. Having checked the 1911 census it looks as if all the houses at that time had names and not numbers. I went to Deal this weekend and had a drive down Grange road but all the older houses now have numbers so was unable to locate "Tralee". Any help in locating old maps etc that may pinpoint "Tralee" would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David

You should find the local street directories helpful with this.  They usually name adjoining roads and then the properties along each side in chronological order so by working backwards and forwards through the directories you should be able to note changes in house names/occupants etc..  Deal library have them from 1898-1957 plust 1966-1968.
