Hello All,

Could someone with access to Challock PRs please lookup a baptism:

Margaret/Mary Ladd dau Michael b1643.

According to her marriage licence, she was of Challock:

25 Nov 1671 Edward Rammell widow carpenter of Eastry & Mary Ladd spinster of Challock spr 28 whose father consents. At St Paul, Canterbury, Thomas Bate of Canterbury g bonds.

I cannot find her in the IGI.

Hello,

I do not have the Challock register for the 1640s but I do have a marriage that possibly refers to Michael, the suspected father of your lady.

From the Bishop's Transcripts for Challock:

LADD, Michael married GYLES, Mary on 16 May, 1639      

I hope this helps in some small way.

Hi Gigi.
            I had a look at the microfilm of the registers for Challock and it would appear that (unless they are out of sequence on the microfilm) there is a gap in the registers between 1640 & 1662.
