I have no information as to where Joseph Dunkley was born other than Northamptonshire, very early 1800's. He had a son GEORGE b 1825, but I don't know where. George m Mary Kingston in 1851 in Northants. Thank you anyone who can give me any information about him............Lyn

If I were you I would post a look up request of Northants in the 1841 or even 51 censuses, trying to link George born 1825 ish with his parents.
If you have any other info at all such as other family names or occupations list them too.

Good luck

Hi Marian

As you list Lydia's marriage are you aware of her father's name as I have some Baptists for Long Buckby and if she was in her 30's I think I can give you the connection.

Cheers Sandy

hi Sandy
Im afraid I dont know Lydia's parents names at all, I got given the information from someone else researching the Amos lines from Long Buckby. Do you think that Lydia is connected with the Dunkley's you mentioned? If so yes please to the connections - thanks very much.

thanks maz

HI Maz

It is better to post to the forum then if anyone else is doing the lineage they can gain the information too.  Grin

Anyway I had a really good trawl through the info I had and can not find a Lydia in the right time frame but all is not lost.

On my 1851 index the following is noted

Long Buckby   2nd part pg 30   J   DUNKLEY   42   Long Buckby   NTH
Long Buckby   2nd part pg 30   Sarah   DUNKLEY      48   Long Buckby   NTH
Long Buckby   2nd part pg 30   Samuel   DUNKLEY   12      Long Buckby   NTH
Long Buckby   2nd part pg 30   Lydia   DUNKLEY      08   Long Buckby   NTH
Long Buckby   2nd part pg 30        Jane   DUNKLEY      05   Long Buckby   NTH

Will see what else I can find in a mo.
Cheers  Sandy

HI again Marian

Here is Lydia's parents of the 1841 Census in Long Buckby

JOSEPH   DUNKLEY   30 AGRICULTURAL LABOURER Y
SARAH   DUNKLEY   35 b in county   Y
MARY   DUNKLEY   7 b in county   Y
SAMUEL   DUNKLEY   2 b in county   Y

I was taking some graves in Long Buckby's Churchyard yesterday will have a look and see if Thomas and Lydia are on them later in the week.

I also have taken the Baptist and United Reform Church Graves but it is getting round to indexing them all. LOL.

hi again Sandy
thanks for that, brilliant to get so much info in one night.
Good luck on the old baptisms etc. If you come across any Amos' when you do it id love a look please. I have a fair bit of information but wouldnt do any harm to double check it all.
You dont happen to know of anyone with information on Staverton Northants in the 1780's period do you? Just a long shot question LOL
thanks for all your help, just ask if you think i might be able to help you at all.
bye for now
