General
The Transport Archive
 http://www.transportarchive.org.uk
Three Centuries of Transport, 7000 images of the transport covering Nottingham, South Gloucestershire to the Waterways of Lancashire. RootsChat really liked the map of Industrial Trafford Park that could be viewed over the years as the transport carved the land to the Industrial centre the place it became.
Planes

Peak District Air Accident Research web site http://www.peakdistrictaircrashes.co.uk/index.htm
This site cover anything to do with air craft crashes including the wars. Started off as "Peak District, now includes many other incidents all over Britain
Ships
The Ships List
 http://www.theshipslist.com/index.html
The Ships List is an excellent source of information from Marriage's at Sea to Passenger listing.
Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild http://immigrantships.net/
Came across this website which has massesof on line passenger records for FREE.Although I found none of my relatives I had fun looking and searching.
SHIPS IN UK PORTS 1881 http://www.angelfire.com/de/BobSanders/81Intro.html
The 1881 Census contains details of many ships in UK ports. These records are useful for tracing seamen and passengers coming into or going out of the country.
For those who do not have easy access to the 1881 census the following pages give the details of the people concerned.
A new section of the site is now in progress. This will cover mariners at various shore establishments eg Royal Navy Barracks, Training Schools & Colleges, Seamen's Homes, Prisons etc.
Would recommend looking at this if you have missing Ship masters, Stewards, Stewardess's Etc
Trains
London Midland and Scottish Railway http://www.btinternet.com/~nttsue/LMSVariousMags.html (http://www.btinternet.com/~nttsue/LMSVariousMags.html) Obituaries and retirements from the 1930's

A Great Site that is fully searchable. http://mikes.railhistory.railfan.net/pindex.html
This is an interesting site. It contains more information about trains than people but may be helpful to people whose ancestors worked for the LMS. It mentions a few people - Sir James Allport Thomas Edmondson .. the inventor of the printed ticket William Hudson, a York linen draper, known as the "Railway King" S. W. Johnson Matthew Kirtley George Stephenson http://mikes.railhistory.railfan.net/r031.html
