Reid Family
« on: Sunday 10 May 09 14:12 BST (UK) »

Hi,
I have a death cert for a ggg grandfather John Reid from 1860 in Dundee.I am trying to get further back from him.The parents are listed on the certificate but are very hard to decipher.I glean that his father was a William reid deceased but his mother name is difficult..best guess is Keniss also marked deceased..
I have found a marriage cert for a william and jean Kenison on 26/09/1814 but am unsure if this would them.It would be good to have this confirmed (Coupar,Angus)..
Once established it would be great if it can be confirmed when William was born etc..

Any help most appreciated

Gary

I have gained some more info to help dig further back.

John Reid was born 09/11/1817 to William and Jean Kenison in Coupar Angus...The parents were therefore the people I have found married in 1814..Would be good to get further back than this if possible.
