GOLDSMITH/COLLIVER families.
« on: Monday 11 May 09 14:55 UTC (UK) »

am looking for any information on Thomas and Alice Goldsmith from the Tunbridge area.  I have their son Joseph born 1830 but cannot seem to find his parents. Any information on the Goldsmith family and Colliver family would be welcomed.

Not sure if you are wanting census information for them, or parish records?

Hi Stephen,

I was waiting for Lynn to come back and tell us if she already had the census information and was just wanting parish register look-ups  Smiley

1851 census:
John's place of birth is Tonbridge, not Trowbridge, there is a place called Wateringbury in Kent for the other two children' birthplaces.
The address in 1851 is Forge Farm House.  The number 45 is the household schedule number, not the house number

There is some information about this family among the records of the Snodland Historical Society

http://www.snodlandhistory.org.uk/genealogy/page4.htm

go to 1800 - 1901 and then click on go - gz.

It will download a pdf file then you can scroll down to the GOLDSMITHS.
