Peter, did you locate your Malones in Meath? The website www.failteromhat.com lists over 30 malones in Meath in Griffith's valuation.
I'm researching the following Hannon-Malone family found on IFHF: Any connection to anyone? Family found with parents William Hannon and Bridget Malone: Longwood parish, Meath. (Croboy).
Children’s births: Bridget Hannon (Meehan?) : baptised/born 1829 (US records: born c. 1834-36.) Michael: baptised/born 1837 (US records: born c. 1838-39.) Margaret Hannon (Kearney?) : baptised/born 1839 (US records: born c. 1843-45) Patrick: baptised/born 1842 (US records: born c. 1844-46) (Julia/Anna Hannon (Hines) not found.)
William Hannon death record: Croboy, Longwood parish, Meath: 1847. Bridget Hannon death record: Clondaleebeg, Longwood parish, Meath, 1844.
My Hannon-Malone family emigrated to Henryville, PA in mid-1860s to work on the railroad. Related to Patrick Kearney, Thomas Meehan (parents Michael and Catherine Kelly Meehan) , William Hines of Meath, Enos, Garrett, Patrick and Christian Cunningham, Timothy Farrell, Albert Coyle.
Elaine Hannon G-granddaughter of Patrick Hannon and Bridget Cunningham.
