Hi Sandra ...

Would be happy to have a look at any relevant Woodford Halse booklets in my local library if this would help!

Hi Sandra ...

I had a look at the Woodford Halse village book (and particularly the railway section) in my library yesterday, but unfortunately nothing about William Fuller or any railway employees.

If you want to find out more about Woodford Halse and its connection to the railway in general, then your best bet would be to look for books about the Great Central Railway (London Extension).  Looking on Amazon, the first book that comes up is "Railways and Rural Life - SWA Newton and the Great Central Railway".  However, I have a copy of this and would not recommend it as there is nothing in it re. Woodford Halse.  There are, however, several other books (we have copies in the library) which have more information and you may be able to get hold of these via souvenir/bookshops of restored steam railways.

Hope this helps!
