I'm new to all of this so may ask daft questions!

Hi, I'm looking for the death of my Grandad's sister (and her husband) but I'm having no luck.
Margaret Johnston Murray Logan (also known as Maudie) born 7 March 1915 in South Leith married Roderick McDonald 14 July 1945. They had no children. In the early 60's Maudie lived in Pentland Drive in Edinburgh.
We believe that Roderick died mid to late 60's but we believe Maudie was alive certainly 1988/9 as she received a share of an estate via solicitors Ketchen & Stevens in Edinburgh. I've contacted them for any info they may have held, however the letter I sent was returned as gone away.
I've searched on SP but can find no record of death for either of them. Can anyone help....PLEASE? Thank you in advance for any help or advice anyone can offer.

Thanks for that, it at least explains why letter was returned.
We think that Maudie have ended up in a nursing home (strong possibility that she was suffering from dementia) as the solicitors were acting as Power of Attorney for her when the estate was given out. I wonder where the files etc of solictors ended up?
Hmmmmmm!

A wild card suggestion - perhaps she has not died, she would only be 94. A look at 192.com for an M McD in the electoral roll does produce a result of an individual in Sheltered Housing in Colinton Road. It is a wild card!
There were a number of Roderick McD deaths in Edinburgh in the 60's but detailed information is not available online.
It is possible, if Pentland Drive was owned, to trace the sale. The houses were built c1960. Do you know the number?
