Chappel family Builders?

Hi, Can anyone help.  I am looking for information on Harry Chappel(Wallington)Builders, based in Wallington in the early 1920s.  Do not know when they ceased trading.  I believe Harry is the son of the sister of my great grandfather.  Harry had a son called Allen born 1927.  Any information greatly received.  Harry's mother was Minnie(maiden name Grout).  Believe Harry also used to live in Wallington.

What sort of info are you after? Are you wanting to know about a builders firm, or are you wanting to trace Harry back to confirm where he fits in the family?

Minnie married an older man, they had Harry and his sister late in life -
1901

26 Chelsham Rd Croydon
James Chappel 60 gardener domestic bn Herts High Cross
Minnie wife 36 bn Islington
Ruth dtr 4 bn Croydon
Henry J 9 mths bn Croydon

doesnt look as if his Dad was in the  Building business.

Hallo, Many thanks for replies.  I am actually seeing if there are any records of the building firm and perhaps any idea if Harry and his wife had any other children other than Alan born 1927.   The family lived in Wallington and Beddington area.  Harry's wife was Jessie and their son was born in Sandy Lane North Beddington.

Also seeing if anyone knows of this Chappel family

Looks like Jessie died in 2001 age 102, in Leicester, from FreeBMD
Looking for a will might help see if there were other children.
Or as she was so old, local paper may have an obituary, or an article when she was 100

cant see Harry/Henry's death in the post 1984 database.

I have the 1937 Piles Directory for Beddington, Carshalton & Wallington at home, i'll have a look through it when i get home from work and see if i can find anything.

Sorry for the delay, forgot about this Embarrassed

The directory has an H.J. Chappel living at 6 Rectory Lane, Beddington, also an E.J. Chappel living at 41 Ross Road, Wallington, no sign of any trades tho.

Also slightly different spelling, there is a J. Chappell living at 39 Sandy Lane North, Beddington.
