For Rena and anyone else who needs the information, I will dig out the details when I get a spare five minutes. I know vaguely which pile of papers it is in, but the prospect of wading through it is rather daunting so I will (as usual) leave it until the current list of tasked deemed urgent by my wife is completed. Expect it on Wednesday at the latest and if you hear nothing, assume I'm having a senior moment and send me a PM as a reminder

I have had a look. I am sure I got a compliments slip with the papers that were sent through to me. If it fails to unearth the contact number, I am sure I called a number that I found on the City of Hull information website and it should not be too hard to retrace my steps

thanks Nick.
I tried googling for a hint of where I could find a contact address then found myself on the current Reckitt website answering a career seekers quiz. Needless to say I forgot my initial mission and enjoyed the challenge ....

Hi postylady
I think your relatives Alfred John Smith who married Beatrice Brumhead may have adopted my grandfather Dennis Brumhead (later Dennis Smith) after Beatrices sister Clara died at an early age - leaving three boys orphaned. One stayed a Brumhead, one went to his Aunts and became Smith (my grandad) and the other became a Jennison.
Do you know if this is correct?
Thanks Sarah

Greetings from New Zealand, a family friend is keen to find a Rachel Cowling who lived 14 St Lukes ave Anlaby Hull. She was engaged at one time to her late father in law Robert Hunt. Rachel may have married in 1930 to a George A Coates. Cheers Doreen Pennell
