Where did you find her name in the first place? JOFFEE is not a known name in England - the IGI for instance, only shows one instance of the name in the whole country since 1538, and FREEBMD has no instances at all. Is this a name from a birth certificate with illegible writing? Can you scan the document and post it here so that we can look at it?
A George T H ARSCOTT married a Joyce DAVY, Launceston district, March qtr 1931, which is I suspect, too soon for your couple.

Did this couple have their family in England? There are no ARSCOT(T) births with mother's maiden name JOF*/JAF*/IOF* in the Eng/Wales birth index 1916-2005.
