Where can I find information for Heckmondwike Burials?  The Huddersfield family history society seem to have very little information on this area.

Sue you may have to go to Kirklees council i think its at Huddersfield their burials office...what dates are you looking for?

Hi I am looking for several people

John Naylor b 1781 d 1851
Ellen Naylor b1786 d 1846

John Naylor b1821 d1886
Ann Naylor b1821 d1879

Robert Naylor b 1853 d 1920
Sophia Naylor b1854 d 1915

I understand that Kirklees Council charge around £15 for one burial search.  Is this correct does anyone know?

I contacted Kirklees Council, Bereavement Services re Heckmondwike and Batley cemeteries and the searches they did for me were free of charge. They gave an excellent service. However, this was in 2004, so things may have changed! Their telephone number then was 01484 234060.
