Hello Bellbird….

I also have a connection to the Bond family down from Dorothy the daughter of Abraham who was on the 1841 also living at Greenhill Lane, Alfreton - H0.107/193/3/8
I don’t think I am going to be much help to find George only to say I didn’t come across his burial at Alfreton…burial of 1829/30 is too early for him at Riddings but our Abraham
is buried there on the 14th January 1842 aged 36.
Abraham is another sad tale of an early demise also reported in the Derby Mercury on Wednesday January 12th 1842.
Inquests before Mr Whiston jun, Coroner.
“And yesterday the eleventh instant at Codnor Park, on the bodies of William Machin and Abraham Bond, two colliers in the employ of the Butterley company, whose deaths were occasioned the previous morning in consequence of falling down the shaft of a coal pit a depth of 160 yards, by reason of the rope breaking, There not being any blame to be attached to any person and the rope having been previously examined and appearing quite safe and sound, the jury returned a verdict in each case of “Accidental death”.Isaac - who’s family are on the 1841 at Cotes Park, Alfreton - HO107/193/29/10 – died aged 34 in the Alfreton registration district in 1838 but he doesn’t seem to be buried in Alfreton either
Isaac’s widow Mary later married Joseph Newton at the Independent Chapel at Riddings in 1848
Samuel is also on the 1841 on Green Hill Lane, Alfreton - HO107/193/3/4/5, his death was registered in Alfreton area in 1853 aged 52 but haven’t found a burial for him yet.
There won’t be a death certificate for your George as he died in 1830 and civil registration didn’t begin until 1st July 1837
This is the marriage you were after on another post?
Alfreton – January 31st 1831 – after Banns
JAMES STANIFORD & MARY BOND - both of the parish of Alfreton
Both signed their mark X
In the presence of; Benjamin Ghent & Josh Rolley
The witnesses are interesting as Benjamin Gent/Ghent marries Sarah Bond at South Normanton in 1826….1851 census they are in Alfreton and Sarah gives her place of birth as Alfreton abt 1811
Witnesses on other Bond marriages at Alfreton =
Ellen Bond to James Allen in 1813 – John Bond & Josh Rolley
James Bond & Hannah Walters in 1821 – George Knight & Josh Rolley
Isaac Bond & Mary Robinson in 1830 – John Rolley & Josh Rolley
Sorry it isn’t the information you are really after…….

As Carol has already said, I also have doubts about George Bond and the Heanor connection.
The Bond's seemed to travel around probably due to finding work.....I wish they stayed in one place....

Kind Regards
Sheila.
