Sifer has been coached through the FHC film ordering process.  Hopefully, a small clue will turn up in the baptism records of Harry and Caroline Elizabeth Willis.

You want to get everything you can from the film as it relates to Harry and Caroline.

Too bad the film is so difficult to read. You have Gaitor Maker anyway so it looks like the correct family. I have to go and dig out my notes. I'll get back to you later.

Interesting find about Thomas and Mary Ann. Their baptisms should be on the film you have, I think.

To the task at hand.....

1. Did you find Harry's baptism on the film and what did it say?

2. Which John were you referring to 2 posts back? Was it the John Owen Willis I had previously mentioned in a PM?

I'm going to address John Owen Willis in a separate post shortly.

haven't found harry yet unless his name is under caroline which is even more faint. trying to up load a scanner program for my computer right now, and i will post the scan when i do.

the one thing i found was a james thomas willis, parents james and elizabeth on 11 vere st., where as one of the family memebers lived at 19 vere st.

From freebmd.rootsweb.com we have a birth and death of John Owen Willis in Strand, Sep qtr 1861 (which covers months July, August and September). John could, however, have actually been born in May or June and still be registered in the Sep qtr. Parents had 42 days in which to register a child.

So......you want to look at 1861 on the film, starting even in April (just in case) and look at all the baptisms from then until October. A death registered in Sep qtr should have been registered prior to October 1st.

Good luck...I hope he is there.

I have to check out Harry....I'll make a new post for him.

I just realized that you are still calling John by John Owens......you need to be looking for John Owen Willis on the film using the dates I gave on the previous post.

Now Harry......Harry was not christened/baptized until May of 1863, so about 2 months after Caroline Elizabeth (you can look up the date on the  familysearch IGI).......so look later than Caroline on the film and you should find him.
