Greetings all:
My brick wall on this line.
John Anderson born about 1795 Greenock. When did he die?
Who were his parent's?
Married 22 September1809 Isobella Adams in Greenock East.
Isobella Adams born 17 April 1795.
Who were her parent's?
Children of this marriage:
Christina Langlands Anderson, 30 July 1810 Greenock.
Mary Ann Anderson, 13 Aug 1813
Thomas Anderson , 29 Aug 1817
Isabella Campbell Anderson, 2 Oct 1819
Elizabeth Anderson, 18 Aug 1821.
Christina Langlands Anderson married 1 July 1834 to John Sinclair
Greenock. This is my line.
Also searching for their death information.

Hi Tom
had a look on IGI for births for Isobella Adams
there are two born in Greenock but they are 1790
and they are submitted entries so would have to be treated with caution
but I wonder if John and Isobella were born earlier than
1795 as you have them married 1809
this would make them both 14 when they married

I'm not sure where you got the date for Isabellas birth (1795) but I fear it is wrong, especially when she married in 1809, though not impossible.
There is a more likely extracted record on Familysearch.org of 1789 (from memory) with a mother Isabella mcEwan and father Daniel Adam.
The 1841 census rounded down ages . e.g. 45 could be anywhere from 45-49.-and then give or take another couple of years 
Just saw your post Elaine, I think we are saying basically the same thing

i got the dates from the IGI which I remember has a few flaws.
if i read this 1841 census correctly the isabella adams at the bottom age 78 born 1763 would be john's mother?

noticed your keith, black & adam surnames
my mother's aunt was flora black sinclair born 1872 paisley.
any connection?

I think there is a death on Inverclyde site that may be one of yours
Thomas Anderson died 20th August 1839 aged 18
he was the son of John and Isobella Anderson
Will keep an eye open for some of the rest
