Modern day mystery
« on: Sunday 17 May 09 01:07 BST (UK) »

Desperately seeking "Bunty"Weir   Huh
Last known address West Lodge, Braeport, Dunblane.
Married to James (Jimmy) Weir..don't know when.
She possibly died in the 1990's, can't look for a death cert as do not know her christian name she was always known as "Bunty"
Possible connection to McKay family as she was in contact with my grandfathers brother Robert Duncan McKay until his death in Canada in 1962, she also gave me my grandfathers medals and swagger stick when I was in Scotland in 1974, and of course, I never asked her for her christian name  Roll Eyes
does anyone have any idea how I can access her christian name..my cousin and I have no idea, we know that our mothers always kept in contact with her until both of them died..and it has always been 'BUNTY'
Have no idea where to go from here, tried the Stirling Observer for an obit but no luck..can anyone help please.

Added to the above - no go with SP re marriage would assume she married after 1933 ??
Only hope is a death records but have run out of credits on SP and am not sure I would get anywhere without a christian name

If you know when James died, she may have registered his death with her correct christian name.

Ancestry has this entry in the 1981 phone, the last one they hold:

Weir J.McD West Lodge, Holmhill
