TUAM marriage 1805 - PARKER
« on: Sunday 17 May 09 05:56 BST (UK) »

From British army officers records, regimental surgeon RICHARD WEBSTER married at Tuam 22 DEC 1805 MARGARET PARKER.

I don't KNOW that Margaret Parker came form Tuam, or Galway, but that is what I  wish to discover.  She was only aged about 19 so perhaps not yet old enough to be a 'woman of the world'.  Her husband was with the 4th Light Battalion of Foot division of the 90th Foot Regiment.  It is possible that this unit was stationed at or near Tuam and that is why the marriage was there.  He was not Irish.

I would be interested to learn of any PARKER  families from Tuam or Galway.  Do church records survive (probably Church of Ireland) from which to look up this marriage?

This couple's first recorded child was born in Dublin 2 years after their marriage.
