Mary Ann Kelly - Cumbernauld
« on: Sunday 17 May 09 11:18 BST (UK) »

I am wondering if someone can help me with any information regarding a Mary Ann Kelly who lived at 54 Auchensterry Row Cumbernauld.
Mary married Anthony Christie on 4th August 1890.

Mary Ann Kelly's  Mothers maiden name on the marriage certificate was Scott and I am unable to find out any information about her mothers side.
If any one can help me with this it would be much appreciated.

Regards
Annette

Hi Annette,
Do you have the 1881 census on the family?

Hi Annette,
I can see that you have been given a lot of information on this family in another post in Stirlingingshire.
Perhaps someone may be able to link the two so others do not waste a lot of time doing the same searches.
Regards
Mariac

Hi Annette and Mariac

Just putting the links up to your other posts Annette:

The first link above in particular covered Mary Ann's parents and confirmed mother's maiden name as Scott.

Have you tried finding mother Mary Ann Scott/McNulty's (and its variants) death cert? This would give you her parents' names hopefully.

With Irish roots for Mary Ann's parents it is always difficult to follow through to Ireland and people's origins. I think also the family were Roman Catholic which makes records even harder to find on line.

Did you manage to progress your mutual links with Morue who posted in one the above links?
