hi all  Smiley

can anyone have a look for john mcgregor ?

there was a 3rd child born 1872 glenbervie if that helps locate them

working on a theory that john had 3 children to isabella middleton
all born fetteresso

adam mcgregor middleton born 1866
mary ann mcgregor middleton born 1867(my line)

i have birth certs. for adam and mary which don't mention the fathers name  Sad
but IGI has father for james as john mcgregor

thanks

Hi ev  Smiley

Just found James b. 1864's birth record

He's registered in Cookney as James Mcgregor,  illegitimate. Father John McGregor, ag labourer and Isabella Middleton, outdoor worker.

Is that any help?

If so, PM me your e-mail.

If you have a certificate which he has signed, this one has his signature for comparison

thanks gadget  Smiley

have sent email address

isabella was married to william middleton(same surname) and had 6 children
before he died  in 1858 then has 4 illegitimate children by 1871
mary mcrobbie(?) middleton(b. c 1863) and the other 3 mentioned before
no proof that my mary ann mcgregor middleton's father was john mcgregor
apart from the surname

ev

ps mother signed off adam and mary's birth certs. although adam was born cookney

Not sure if the John Mcgregor who married Jane Thomson is the same one as he was 20 at their marriage in 1870, which would mean he was 14 when James was born- possible but not sure  Undecided

I'lltry and put the two signatures up if I can find one on the later births.

Need to try and find an older John - tricky - I couldn't see anyone likely on the 1871 - I'll see if there are any likely candidates on the 1861.

Where was Isabella in 1861?
