A Passenger list from 12/04/1913 has details of my Great Grandmother Florence May Tucker, b.1895 Plymouth, sailing on board the NEW YORK ship from Southampton to New York with her brother Richard Edwin Tucker.
When Florence moved to New York she met my Great Grandfather Clarence Thetford and they were married on 20/10/1916. Florence became pregnant and my Grandfather Harry Thetford was born in New York on 16/11/1917.
Can anybody possibly find out for me when, from where and on what ships they all sailed back to England on? Clarence sailed back to Liverpool and Florence sailed back to London.
Thanks, Josh.

Hi
Not sure you have this so I thought I would post just in case: It may be your Clarence
World War I Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918 Clarence Thetford 23 address; 108 St Marks Place, Brooklyn, NY DOB : 3 Aug 1894 Naturalized citizen born: Manchester England
The image seems to have been cut off ...but on the next page is his signature.
In 1901 he is with family in UK transcribed a Clarene Thetford Dau, 7 ...but image def. says Clarence

I never saw that Draft registration info before Deb. If I ever get to New York then I'll check that old address out.
I don't know if anyone can help but I am trying to trace where my Grandfather Harry Thetford b. 16/11/1917 in New York was born exactly. i.e. whether it was in Brooklyn. Whether it was at home or in a hospital etc.
Thank's.
Josh.

Hi Josh
If I was closer I would do it for you ... maybe you can google the address.
.... I do see that he was born in 1894 on the reg card ...he is your Clarence? do you have him in the census? I cannot see him on a Passenger list going to the USA.

Hi Deb.
Clarence sailed on the Carmania (Cunard) from Liverpool to Ellis Island, New York on 24 Jan 1914 arriving on 1st Feb 1914. The census listing him as a girl aged 7 was him you are right. He lived at 16 Grasmere Street in Broughton. His birthdate was 3rd Aug 1894.
