I am looking for information in the 1861 and 1871 UK Censuses for Wales on the family of a Margaret Fitzgerald, born in 1852 in Wales. Her obituary in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. stated that her siblings were named Alice, Catherine, and Patrick. There was another sister who later became a nun, so I don't know her first name as a child.
Margaret emigrated to the United States in 1869, so she is not in the 1871 UK Census. But her siblings may have stayed in Wales. So I am asking if by chance Margarets siblings may still be living together in the 1871 Census in Wales. Maybe not all of Margaret's siblings had been born by the time of the 1861 Census, but were listed in 1871.
Thank you, Larry

Welcome to RootsChat Larry,
I can only see 2 Margaret Fitzgeralds born in Wales circa 1852, and the other one is still around in 1871 ...
1861 RG9/4044 41 8 Llantwitvardre, Glamorgan Alice Fitzgerald, head, wid, 34, b. Ireland Catherine, dau, 11, b. do. Margt, dau, 9, b. Glamorgan Llantwitvardre Patrick, son, 6, b. do. We're lucky - they had already arrived in Wales in 1851:
1851 HO107/2456 427 61 Llantwitvardre, Glamorgan Tram Road Patrick Fitzgerald, head, 35, Carpenter, b. Tipperary Ireland Alice, wife, 25, b. do. Catharine, dau, 1, b. do. Mary, dau, 13, b. do. Mary Cozane?, lodger, unm, 22, Carpenter, b. do.
There are 2 possible deaths for Patrick Fitzgerald in Cardiff registration district between 1851 and 1861: Jun 1855 11a 162 and Dec 1856 11a 129
Sorry, I can't see any obvious match for any of them in 1871.
