The Family Search Labs (http://search.labs.familysearch.org/) has a database of Ohio deaths from 1908-1953 with images. There is a death for Henry Alexander, born 17 Apr 1870 in Ireland who died 30 May 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife is listed as Mary Brockschmidt and his parents were listed as Thomas Alexander and unknown Houston (mistranscribed as Honston).
There is also a death for Mary A. Alexander, born 14 Mar 1867 in Cincinnati who died 6 Nov 1937 in Wyoming, Hamilton County, Ohio. Her husband is listed as Henry Alexander and her parents were Wm. Brockschmidt and Dorothy Hohnstedt. Her parent's birth place is listed as Germany.
Lester Alexander was the informant on both certificates.
There is also a death for Lester James Alexander, born 17 Jul 1895 in Cincinnati, who died 15 Feb 1951 in Wyoming, Hamilton County, Ohio. His parents are listed as Henry Alexander and Mary Brocksmith. He is listed as being single. The informant was Roy Alexander.
It's really late here so I'm not able to look for more information right now.

You can also view the 1900 census images on the above mentioned link. For the 1910 census, Minnie Gorges, sister-in-law, widow, is living with them. That may be where that name appeared.
1910 Ohio, Hamilton, Cincinnati, Ward 10
Alexander, Henry, 40, marr 18 yrs, dry goods merchant Mary, 43, mo of 11 ch/7 ch living, b. Oh, Ger, Ger Clifford, 17 Lester, 14, Clarence, 11 Ralph, 9 Roy, 9 Russel, 9 Maurice, 3, Gorges, Minnie, sister-in-law, 46, widow, mo of 2 ch, no ch living, b. Ohio, Ger, Ger
1920 Ohio, Hamilton, Cincinnati
all of the above are still in the household, including Minnie Gorges.

There is a Henry Alexander, 20, labourer, Ireland who arrived in New York on the State of Indiana on 8 May 1889. The ship departed from Glasgow, Scotland and Larne, Ireland. The passenger list only lists USA as his destination however it does indicate he did board at Larne, Ireland. He appears to have been travelling alone. I couldn't find any other passenger list entries that fit in the databases at Ancestry.
From the 1930 US census:
126 Winkler Street, Cincinnati, Ohio
Henry Alexander, head, 59, married at age 22, born Ireland, parents born Ireland, immigrated in 1889, naturalized, Mary A Alexander, wife, 63 married at age 25, born Ohio, parents born Germany Clifford H Alexander, son, 37, born Ohio, father born Ireland, mother born Ohio, bench worker at a machine shop Lester J Alexander, son, 35, born Ohio, father born Ireland, mother born Ohio, time keeper at valve manufacturing Morris F Alexander, son, 23, born Ohio, father born Ireland, mother born Ohio, secretary at railroad Minnie Gorges, sister-in-law, 66, married at age 21, born Ohio, parents born Germany

In case you're interested in the Brockschmidt family, Dora Brockschimdt, 71, widow, born in Germany is listed immediately after the Alexander family on the 1900 census. The next entry after her is for the family of William Brockschmidt, 41, born Ohio, parents born Germany. William Brockschmidt and family are listed immediately after the Alexander family on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census.
WWI draft registration card details (registering for the draft does not mean they served):
Clifford Henry Alexander was born 15 Feb 1893, a machinist for Cincinnati Milling Machine Co., and was residing at 126 Winkler Street, Cincinnati. The card indicates he had defective sight.
Lester James Alexander was born 17 Jul 1895, a clerk for Lunkenheimer Co. and was residing at 126 Winkler Street, Cincinnati. He had a broken arm at the time he registered.
Clarence Houston Alexander was born 18 Jan 1899, a student at Cincinnati University and was residing at 126 Winkler Street, Cincinnati. Next of kin listed was Henry Alexander (father).
WWII draft registration card (aka “the old man’s registration”) details:
Clifford Henry Alexander was born 15 Feb 1893 in Cincinnati. His residence was 3091 Markbreit Ave, Cincinnati. The person listed as always knowing his address was Dorothy Alexander, same address and his employer was Cincinnati Milling Machine Co.
Lester James Alexander was born 17 Jul 1895 in Cincinnati. His residence was 749 Stout Avenue, Wyoming, Ohio. The person listed as always knowing his address was R.W. Alexander (brother), same address and his employer was Lunkenheimer Co.
Military service:
Clarence Houston Alexander, born 18 Jan 1899, enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve Forces. He was called to active duty 14 Oct 1918 and honorably discharged on 30 Sept 1921.
The Social Security Death Index has a Clarence H. Alexander with a date of birth of 18 Jan 1899 and a date of death of 14 May 1987. His last residence is listed as San Mateo, San Mateo County, California however that doesn’t mean he died there. The California Death Index at Ancestry didn’t have a death listed for him.
I also found a possible SSDI entry for Maurice/Morris. There is a Maurice F. Alexander with a date of birth of 8 Feb 1907 and a date of death of 4 Oct 1986. The entry says his card was issued through the Railroad Board and since he lists his occupation as clerk for the railroad on the 1930 census it could be him.
