Laird family

Hi all,
I am trying to find a James Laird who married someone called Jessie (I have first name only) who had a daughter called Margaret Laird born in 1933 in Kiltarlity Invernes-shire. She married a John McAllister, I have no dates for him. Any help would be a great help with this I am now struggling with these names etc.

Hi Mike,

SP has a few marriages for a James Laird and Jessie, there is one in 1932 in Kiltarlity that looks promising, Jessie's surname on this one is Paterson.

Downloading this record would give you both sets of parents names which would take you a generation further back and into the realms of census records etc.

Here is a link that will give you 10 free credits, try and broaden out your search parameters, years etc to give you 25 results, this will cost you 1 credit, downloading the marriage record will cost you 5 credits.

Hi Mike. The ScotlandsPeople index of marriages shows a marriage at Kiltarlity in 1932 between a James Laird and a Jessie ?  SP is a pay per view site and after paying you can download the certificate which will give the parents of each.  You are lucky in as much as the cut-off point for marriage images is 1933  Grin
