Hi wonder if anyone can look up the 1901 census for a Maria Banks Jones (born Ipswich c1835). She died in 1904 and the death registered in Lambeth. Her husband was a Henry Jones. They had a daughter called Maria Sarah Banks Jones. Can't give further details than that I'm afraid. Hope someone can help.

Hey, Suzard, that's excellent, thanks!
I may have posted before on Maria's mother and father, who moved to Barking between 1841-51 (Robert Chamberlain, butcher born Wickham Market c1805 & Maria Banks, born Ipswich). They disappear after the 1871 Census. (I've found two people who deaths are registered in Lambeth who fit the bill, but I'm not convinced enough to connect them. I'm anxious to get their death dates and places, as I have a fairly detailed story about the rest of their lives. If anyone can gelp further I would be very grateful.

What does the RG13 424 130 49 number relate to, and where can I access the record? I have found a record for a Maria Banks Jones death aged 67 at Lambeth in the BMD - trust these are the same people? Certainly she was married to Henry Jones. Thanks in advance. Bob C

The nos are the source reference - 1901 census
Class RG13 (this is used for all 1901 census Piece 424 Folio 130 page 49
It is a good idea to keep a note of the ref for the census
We need to post the ref when we quote from a census
The census posted is from the image taken from A******y This is a site where you pay for membership (you can get a free trial) -but you can view free at most libraries

Hi Suz Thanks for that - I have since decided to take up that offer on that nefarious, unmentionable site (I had put original tree there anyway). Regards Bob
