HENRY CHARLES GARNER COMPLETED WITH THANKS
« on: Sunday 31 May 09 19:50 UTC (UK) »

I am completely baffled, I have a Garner family. who. on 1901 were living in

Saltram Crescent
Paddington, London
comes under St Simons parish

I have found the births of the children but after 1901 they have completely disappeared, not a marriage or death in sight, I have checked 1 outward going site but couldn't find them, by 1911 they have gone, none appear on the census
details as follows

Henry Charles Garner born  1853 born Paddington, painter and decorator
Ellen (Nellie May) born 1855?  Guernsey, nee Light
William 1879
Margaret 1886
Daisy Ethel 1889
Graham Clifford 1895
Victoria Beatrice 1898
Constance Stella 1900

All children born Paddington, they are quite unusual combination of Christian names, I would have thought they would be easy to find

I would be very grateful for any suggestion or help

Yours in anticipation

There are a huge number of mis-transcriptions on the 1911 and we are all waiting for it to be included in an annual subscription so we stand a better chance of finding people

Thanks Carol, it is very frustrating particularly as there are no marriages either, it feels as if they have just disappeared off the face of the earth

Hi

I have 3 ancestors who I know for definite were still alive in 1911 and living in Liverpool but I cannot find them on the 1911

A rootschat member was recently looking for an Armytage Halliwell - eventually found as Sormytage Halliwell on the 1911 so have hope that when we are finally able to access the 1911 in the same way as the other censuses they may be found

I have a strong feeling this family might have emigrated, I have yet to find the dates, obviously after the 1901
