Seapatrick C of I, photo request
« on: Tuesday 19 May 09 20:08 UTC (UK) »

Hello,

I would like to have some good photos of the plaque on the wall, about  Joseph Scriven.  I can see it online but I can't read it all.  When I enlarge it, it goes blurry.

I have quite a bit about Joseph already but would like a nice copy of this for my file on him.  My ggGrandmother Jane, was his little sister.  If anyone could snap a few pics, I'm very grateful, in California,  Katie

I can do this for you.  Is the plaque located inside or outside the church?  Any other photos needed of the locality???

Hi Aljepeka,

On the Seapatrick church website, it looks like the plaque is on an outside wall,  in a covered walkway?

I've looked at the great websites about Banbridge.  Many great pictures there, including the monument in town.   I read about a plaque on the lodge where the Scriven family lived, don't think I've seen a picture of that.  If you pass by that, it would be nice to have a picture of too.
I know about the windows inside the church that were dedicated to Joseph.  I found the pictures for them online.   If you think anything else is interesting, I've love to see.
Thank you so much for answering,      Grin  Katie

Katie,

I have photos of the stained glass windows in Holy Trinity Church, Banbridge.  Also photos of his birth place, Ballymoney Lodge with the Blue plague.  A memorial to him with the verses of "What a friend we have  in Jesus" has been erected adjacent to Banbridge Civiuc Building.  I have photos of that as well.

If you PM me your email I could forward them to you.

Photos sent to your e-mail address.
I have not seen any photos of Ballymoney Lodge on the internet.  It is of the beaten track somewhat and not signposted.  So they should be of use to you.
