Margaret Stewart of Portobello

Looking for any info on my gt gt grandmother's family.She was Margaret Stewart born around 1811-1815 in Portobello. On her marriage data all I have is the date 31/12/1833 husband's name Thomas Meir a Potter from Monkwearmouth and place of marriage in Glasgow no parents names.On her death cert.as she died in Middlesbrough on 29/2/1888 there are no parents details either. I would dearly love to find her parents etc.Any help greatly appreciated.

Josie,
There are two Margaret Stewarts that I can find who were born between 1811-1815 in Edingburgh.

First one was born  7/7/1811 parents George Stewart and Helen Duff.
Second one was born 25/7/1811 parents Thomas Stewart and Margaret Sinclair.

You can look this information up at SP.
Also noticed that when doing a search for information on Margarets wedding in Barony, Thomas's surname is given as Moir.

Thanks Lynn will look into these.The Moir is wrong spelling it was Meir.I had thought Margaret's mother might be a Janet  or Jennet as that was what she and Thomas Meir called their first daughter the second one was Margaret.First son was Thomas Stewart Meir and second one Joseph Meir

Josie, Did Margaret have a middle name?
Reason I ask is because if her parents followed usual naming patterns then she could possibly have what is one of her grandparents or great grandparents surname as a middle name.
