Szac, may I accept your kind offer?
I am searching for the resting place of John McCREADIE (b. 13 July 1848, Ballantrae d. 02 Aug 1879).
At 9PM, 02 Aug 1879, John died on board Ayr Harbour No. 1 tug boat, crushed to death under the lever of the (steam) engine. He and his family, widow Margaret (m.s. NELSON) and three children (Jane, Isabella and John), were living at 8 Allison Street, Newton [now Newton-on-Ayr].
I am unable to locate his burial; Ayr or Ballantrae. The practice of the time was burial in the Parish of Birth, in this instance Ballantrae.

Many thanks Szac
If they were McCREADIEs buried in Ballantrae, somewhere down my line they belong. If I send you a PM with my personal e-mail address would you be so kind and forward the ones you located.
