If anyone has access to Boyd I'd be very grateful for a look up for William BOWD/BOUD/BOND who married Mercy (possibly PATMAN) before 1785 (they baptised and buried a daughter in Bourn in that year). William died in 1785 as well, and Mercy had an illegitimate son David in 1787 and married John Darlow three weeks after David was baptised. She was buried in 1835 age 88 in Bourn so she could have married William Boud between c1765-85

Yes William Boude did marry Mercy Patman at Stowe, Long in Cambridgeshire in 1784 (no exact date given)

William Boude of Bourn and Mercy Patman otp married 11 Oct 1784. Wits Anthony and Jean Webb.

Thanks very much Bob and Tempsford. After my best night's sleep in ages, I didn't wake up until after 7 a.m. on a sunny bank holiday morning here in France, and I find another Bowd problem solved!
