Hi Keith,
A bit more info for you.
Pyramus Gray of Horningsea was apprenticed to Richard Piper of Bottisham as a cordwainer in 1814.

Many thanks for that, Tempsford. I'm trying to discover if this is the Gypsy born about 1797, son of Thomas and Susannah. A number of close kinsmen were baptised or claimed birth in Horningsea, but he seems on the face of it an unlikely candidate for an apprenticeship with a cordwainer. Has anyone any further information on this man? Any details will be much appreciated.
