Can any one please help? I am researching the Missens and have got as far back as Robert Missen who married Alice Osborne on 6th Aug 1792 at All Saints, Fulbourn. He fathered John in 1796 but I don't know who his parents were. If anyone can help me, i'd be very grateful

Hi,
Robert Missen married Elizabeth Denson, botp, 15 Sep 1761, Fulbourn All Saints.
Wits James Moore and Thomas Battyll
Children Mary Misson bap 2 Nov 1766 and on the same day Sarah Misson, the eldest child being about a year old.
Robert Missing bap 13 Jun 1773 and also on the same day Thomas and Ann Missing, Ann was bur 15 Aug 1773.
John Missin bap 12 Feb 1775
John Missing bap 8 Aug 1779
Alice bap 8 Aug 1779 bur 4 Sep 1779
Alice Missen bap 5 Apr 1782
There was a John Missin, son of Robert and Elizabeth bur 30 Aug 1779 but the dates don't tally with the baptism.

Yes. Robert Missing was the only Robert bap at that time in Cambs so seems a fair bet!

Excellent, thank you. You wouldn't believe the variations in the spelling of Missen, I think that is why I am struggling
