Hi,

The place in the transcript of the Death Certificate should read:-

Birch Vale, Ollersett.

Spendlove.

Hi all..again...Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.

In regards to the cause of death....consumption 15 weeks not certified....what does this mean?

Is it likely that Thomas Hyde listed previously as a Tailor (app) in the 1851 census is likely to change his trade to a Blockprinter??

And where is Birch Vale Ollersett?

Regards....Lindsay

Hi, People changed their jobs just like they do now, they change because of financial circumstances or just to try something different.

If you go to "G**gle maps" just type OLLERSETT in and you will see Birch Vale just to the right .

Thanks all for the replies...been very helpfull.

I am still intrigued that Sarah Ann Hyde had 3 illigitimate children..almost sounds suspicious. I would perhaps think that 1 or 2 illigitimate children could be expected but 3?? maybe in those days it was not much of a concerne not to marry and still have children.

I will try to hunt someone down to look at the parish records at Matlock as spendlove suggests to see if anything was recored for Sarah and take it from there otherwise I will just have to accept things for the way they are at the moment.

Any ideas about where/how I might find where Thomas Hyde is buried??

Place could also be Birch Vale.

There is no house number listed, just Fairfield Rd.

the number on the left (287) is a schedule number, not the house number.  If a house number was listed it would be in the same column as the Road Name.

By the way, I believe posting whole pages from censuses contravenes copyright laws, so dont be surprised if a moderator rightly removes it!
It is OK to post small snippets for deciphering.

Thanks for your help lizdb....your probably right but now I know to just paste snippets....

I guess I have some more detective work to figure out the house number sopmehow on the census.

Do you know of any one who would be able to look up a baptism  for me at the Cheshire records office. Its for Edward Hyde, abt 1798, Prestbury  (father of Thomas Hyde 1835-1869)and who married Sarah Stevenson on 17th Nov at Loughborough, Leicester. Im trying to figure out who Edwards parents were.

Ta once again for your help.

very often there is not one.
If it is listed, it is with the road name in the second column.
