Joshua William BOWD was baptised at St Andrew Holborn, London, on 27 Sept 1795, the son of Joshua and Elizabeth, was convicted in 1814 and was subsequently transported to Australia. He had siblings Thomas baptised 12 Nov 1787 and Susanna baptised 18 Apr 1791, both in the same parish

Also baptised in Holborn was William BOWD in 1787, son of John and Mary.

I’m trying to find out if Joshua Bowd senior could be the same Joshua Bowd who was baptised at Bourn, Cambs on 10 Sept 1757, whose father was Thomas and grandmother Susanna (she was my 6xg grandmother). Joshua from Bourn also had a brother John baptised in 1752, and the whole family seems to disappear off the radar screen, so I'm wondering if they all moved to London.

There’s no marriage on the IGI or in Pallots Marriage Index in 1787 or earlier for either John or Joshua Bowd.

If anyone has access to Boyds Marriage Index or the London Marriage Licence Allegations I’d be very grateful for a lookup for  Joshua’s marriage to Elizabeth or John’s to Mary prior to 1787

Now that I can access Rootschat again, I can belatedly say thanks Sue, for the marriage information for John Bowd. That gives me a starting point from which to research them in London
