For some time I have been struggling to discover any information at all about my grandfather's sister who was named Amy Jones. At last I have had a small breakthrough!! Amy Jones was born in Aston, Birmingham in 1895 the daughter of William & Fanny Jones (nee Dallow). Sadly William died in 1903 & Fanny died in 1906 after which the six children were all separated & lived with various members of the family. I do not know with whom Amy was sent to live but I have now discovered that she married and lived in Chester, sadly I do not know her married name. I know of one daughter who was named Eva but it could be possible that she may have had other children too. The only other info that I have been able to discover is that Eva later lived in High Wickham. If anyone has an entry in their tree for Amy Jones or her daughter Eva I would be most grateful for any help please.

Hiya Treefan.....a very longshot this.. there are only 2 marriages for Amy Jones in Chester on Freebmd.org.uk..that would fit the age of your Amy b 1895. 1913 june qtr to Harry Brereton 1921 Sep qtr to Frank Hignett be back soon...allan ok ..on freebmd.org.uk..births..Hignett -Jones in chester 5 children from 1922 to 1934 Brereton-Jones in chester only 1 birth in 1919..all these children could still be alive so I can`t post their names...so I think you can discount Brereton.....Hignett?...one daughter was named Sylvia....whether this becomes EVA as a shortened nickname...? i don`t know, but it`s the only possibility I can Find.......if you go to www.freebmd.org.uk and have a look for yourself...maybe one of the Hignett/Amy Jones childrens christian names will be a "family" name...good luck....allan
