I picked this up at a car boot sale and am looking to repatriate him with his descendants.
If anyone wants to work on this one whilst I try to find a family for him I that would be great as I will direct any rellies I find to this site.
Any thoughts on what kind of sport he played?

do hope you find them...  I very nearly lost an important photo due to a family member - just throwing everything out  - when his mom died... luckily i saved that particular one, but it worries me what had already gone...

Hi Xin....Lucky you rescued it then.....Why do people throw photos away Huh...I can't understand it...we had a housefire when I was four years old and many photos were lost and those  that survived were smoke damaged Undecided
I have contacted someone on G.R. so I hope it is a match...I found a birth in Sudbury for 1899 and his marriage to Ivy F.Harrington in 1931...not sure it it's him yet though.

I think you might be on the right track about it being gardening related. The pictures on the two plaques look to me like a lady gardening in the one, and a lady holding a flower pot in the other.Of course, I could be completely wrong  Grin Grin Grin Grin
