do hope you find them... I very nearly lost an important photo due to a family member - just throwing everything out - when his mom died... luckily i saved that particular one, but it worries me what had already gone...

The colour one is a masterpiece Carolyn, and Wendy and Terry have done really lovely b/w and sepia.
Wherever his relations are, I should think they'd be thrilled!

Well done you for rescuing this rather distinguished gentleman from the scrap-heap! 
I think you might be on the right track about it being gardening related. The pictures on the two plaques look to me like a lady gardening in the one, and a lady holding a flower pot in the other.Of course, I could be completely wrong
