Trying to find a Marriage

I am trying to find a marriage between Martha nee Kemp and Steir.

She married a John Dobb Pool in 1889 Yorkshire. 

She then remarries Hurbitus John Louis McGuire, 25 August 1924, Brampton, Ontario Canada. She is a Widower with the surname Steir.

It appears she was Steir when she emigrated to Canada.

Yes I have her marriage to John Pool.

But when she married McGuire she was a widow with the surname Steir

as you will see from the following link

I don't see a marriage on freebmd for a martha Kemp or Martha Pool to a Steir. Do you know when the marriage to John Pool ended?

I can only think that she was possibly her Sister in Law but I am not too sure

I have no idea when the marriage John Dobb pool ended I have not found anything of free bmd.

Could Mary Jane Stier be Martha's daughter? They are living at the same address on the marriage details and I've just seen this

Stier, Mary Jane  9d 52


But, There is also a death same quarter, same year, same district for a Mary Jane Stier aged 35 who could be that child's mother I guess!

This is a hard one!

Have you found a passenger list from when Martha and John Stier went to Canada?

That is very possible she could be her daughter, I have been unable to find any children.

No I have not managed to find anything for Martha going to Canada however she must have go there somehow

John Henry  & Martha Stiers aged 65 and 52 respectively left Southampton for New York on 19th June 1920 on the Mauretania.
John's occupation is given as 'butcher'.
Country of last permanent residence England, country of intended future residence USA.
