 We had a really fantastic surprise day out at Waltham Windmill this bank holiday and I thought I would just drop a post to say there is a wealth of interest inside the museum for anyone with family from that area. In particular surnames

Mary Peak  New Waltham note books

Peacock from Pyewipe Grimsby driving licenses from1927

Mr S.W Marshall who purchased a house for  £300 in 1936

Rowe Mr & Mrs P J  - a birth announcement card  sent to friends

There is an original guide to the National Insurance Scheme 5 July 1948

There are original newspapers like Grimsby Evening Telegraph with headline of “ Army takes over the Lincolnshire Dunkirk”

As well as the museum you can go round the windmill, have lunch in resturant, then a train ride on miniture scale railway !
